First Semester Opening of Intramurals for F.Y. 2023-2024
Last September 9, 2023, the community of SFSTS held the
Opening of Intramurals for the First Term of the Formation Year 2023-2024 with
the theme Marian League – “Manlalaro ni Mariang Pinagsama-sama’t, Pinagbuklod”.
The priests formators and the seminarians participated the activity. In his
opening remarks, Rev. Fr. Nataniel Pamplona, the priest-in-charge of the
ministry of sports pointed out that, “Nawa ang Intramurals na ito ay magpalalim
pa ng pakikipag-kapwa at samahan ng bawat isa”. Moreover, the mini games were
done after the opening program, which is named after this term’s theme, the
following are the mini games; the first five consecutive shots in the
free-throw line were named High Five para kay Maria, the three-point shootout
were named Tres Marias, and the half-court shootout were named Ang Puso Ko’y
Nagpupuri Shoot”. Afterwards, a friendly basketball game was held, the name of
the teams was also named after the Blessed Virgin Mary, Team Fatima and Team
Lourdes, Team Fatima won against Team Lourdes. Meanwhile, the community will be
joining the outdoor intramurals of the college department, and the indoor games
will be done at SFSTS, Recreation Hall during Tuesdays, Thursdays, and
Saturdays’ Recreation Schedule. The Intramurals were being done at the seminary
not just for recreation but most importantly, to strengthen more the unity and
priestly brotherhood of the seminarians.
