Admission Process

For Young Professionals

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

Young professionals who is to apply for the Pre-Theology Program must be:

  • a graduate of any four-year course,
  • 23-35 year old, and
  • with at least a year of work experience.

ASPIRANCY PROGRAM

The Aspirancy Program is a two-part process during which applicants will be staying overnight at St. Francis de Sales Theological Seminary, taking part in community prayers, meals, recreation and sports.

 

The entrance examination and an interview with the Director will take place during the stay.

 

Applicants are expected to arrive at the seminary at around 4:30 PM of the first day so as to be able to join the seminarians for playing time. He may then leave after lunch of the succeeding day.

 

Participating in the Program including meals and accommodations is free of charge.

For Transferring Seminarians

Seminarians who have finished their philosophical studies and would like to transfer to St. Francis de Sales Theological Seminary must contact us so that we may be able to coordinate with him about the process for admission.

Seminary Fees

Fees in the seminary per semester range from PHP 40,000.00 to PHP 60,000.00. It includes both academic fees (tuition fee and miscellaneous fees), and the board & lodging fees.

Aside from the generous individuals who are willing to give financial assistance to seminarians, there is also the Kapisanan ni San Francisco de Sales, an organization within the Archdiocese which pays a portion of the board & lodging fees of their beneficiary-seminarian, and the Knights of Columbus Fr. George J. Willmann Charities, Inc., which provides scholarships for those entering the theology department.
