SFSTS Welcomes 2 Newbies

“At least naka-pasok tayo sa quota.”  Quoting from Matthew 18:20 (For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them), Rev. Fr. Darwin A. De Leon, Vice Rector, jokingly made this remark as SFSTS welcomed two new members during the welcoming ceremony held at Mountain View Garden Resort, Brgy. San Benito, Lipa City last October 7. Father Darwin, on his opening remarks,  also pointed out that the journey to the priesthood is not about of quantity rather of quality. Among those welcomed  were Seminarian Edzel Metica (Theology I) from Immaculate Concepcion Parish, Malvar and Seminarian Jerico Almario (Pre-Theology I) from the Parish of Mary Euphrasia, Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City. Metica and Almario experienced the ceremonial toast, hug and paying respects to the priests formators.

In his message, Rev. Fr. Jesse Lucas Balilla, rector, emphasized the importance of having a companion in the life of priestly formation. He also said that the seminary is always ready to help and form them to be holy, gentle and firm shepherds.

Aside from the program proper, the community immersed themselves in a team building activity and enjoyed the amenities of the place. SFSTS annually holds the welcoming activity to formally accept the freshmen of the seminary.
